A large man suddenly strides into the kitchen, apparently looking for someone. He's obviously found that someone when his eyes fall on Diana, as he says, "A-hah! I thought I heard a woman's voice in here! Who is this, Connar?" "She just asked me to marry her, Father," Connar says. The man looks shocked. "A pretty lass like this? What spell have you put on her, boy?" "It's true, sir," Diana says, "and I would be honoured to be accepted into your family." "Well, I have no problem with it," the man muses. "Connar's not been too interested in going out to find a wife himself." He pauses, and asks, sounding a little worried, "What kind of dowry can you offer?" "Actually, I'm the daughter of a king," Diana says. She hasn't even thought about this in quite some time. "Our kingdom is small and a week's journey from here, as the horse travels, but we could offer you a bounty. Unfortunately I have recently been taken prisoner by the dragon who lives nearby, and he stole all the jewelry I had, or I would show you some." "A princess!" the man cries. "Absolutely, yes! You have my blessing. You and my son shall be wed at once!" Connar doesn't seem to realize the significance of this, but when she throws herself into his arms, he hugs her back. Diana's husband-to-be and his family quickly begin packing for the journey to her father's castle. Meanwhile, as Zenobia is watching the scenario play out through her crystal ball, she pouts in disappointment. This is going far too well to be any fun.
