"I only expect to be away for two days - no more," says the princess.
"Maggie will join me. We will keep you informed if we take longer than
expected. So you are expected to behave like the way I do. That is to
join family or royal meals and to participate in activities pescribed by
Daddy. Tonight is a free night so you are best off saying that you will
retire early after dinner. Fortunately Daddy is used to that. Tomorrow
night is the ball. Wear my favorite blue and yellow gown gown for dinner
and the ball. The servant will help dress you."
The princess then explains how you are expected to behave at tonight's dinner, and tomorrow. Your head is buzzing by the time she finishes explaining. "Any questions?" asks the princess. "Yes, I have lots of questions," you say. "Fire away." Before you could ask your first question, there is a knock on the door. "Princess Annabelline," says a voice on the other side of the door. "It is time for dinner." "Coming, James," shouts Annabelline. She pulls you out of her bed and pushes you towards the door. "Just go. No time to answer questions," she hisses. "Do the best you can." As you get pushed closer to the door, you think of all the questions that you wanted to ask and you are afraid that you will completely mess up your disguise as the princess.
