Town Square - The King's Announcement

Wondering where you are right now after a trip through the black void, you enjoy the scenery consisting of various houses made of sticks and thatches. You soon reach an open area where you see several peasants milling about. Among the peasants, you see several knights armed with swords or bows and arrows. Five of the knights are on horses. You look around. You note a castle in the distance.

You hear a tapping sound. "May I have your attention, everyone." shouts a slim man with white hair. He wears a purple gown. The man taps a large pole against the ground several times. "May I have your attention everyone." Conversations cease. "King Omer wishes to address everyone."

A man appears above the crowd. He is dressed in a royal blue robe with a large crown adorned with ruby and emerald stones. The king speaks gravely.

"As many of you are aware, my wife, Queen Estelle, was kidnapped four days ago. Our wise sages believe that she has disappeared through a swirling blue and yellow disk which can only have been created by the wicked witch, Maggie. Maggie has demanded our total loyalty to her in exchange for her safe return. I find her demand preposterous!"

"Outrageous!" shouts a man in the crowd. The crowd shouts in agreement.

Tap, tap, tap! "Silence!" shouts the man with white hair and purple gown. He taps the pole against the ground a couple more times until everyone stops talking.

The king continues speaking. "I will offer the brave man who rescues Queen Estelle our ultimate gift - our daughter, Princess Annabelline, in marriage or, if the hero is already married, I will offer the sum of 10,000 gold!"

The crowd cheers! "Long live King Omer!" shouts the crowd. They continue repeating "Long live King Omer!"

Well, you have been unable to use your charm in winning the heart of a young woman and you remain unmarried at the age of 29. The thought of sticking around on this side of the Black Void and marrying a beautiful princess makes your heart beat loudly. If you could rescue Queen Estelle, you would have it all made! So you decide that this is exactly what you want to do. But you realize that you have a serious problem. You are just a plain lazy, fat boy who refused to exercise in his entire life. Do you think you can carry a sword and a shield that easily? What about defending yourself against a wicked witch's magic spells?

Well, nothing is impossible, or at least you hope that marrying the primcess is not impossible.

1. Start a fitness regimen before you start this quest. You are well aware that this will take some time.
2. Look for an armour shop and equip yourself with basic equipment.
3. Talk to several people and see if you can join a group that plans to rescue Queen Estelle.
4. Forget the Queen! See if you can sneak into the castle and kidnap Princess Annabelline.
