Fred's Final Wish

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 97100

Fred felt a tingling sensation, but only in her tail, nowhere else. She experienced the very painful feeling of someone ripping her tail apart, and screamed as it happened. And then she was a human again.

Since she was still wearing a knight's armor, and no longer possessed the instincts of a mermaid, plus the fact that she was still in shock from the paralyzing agony, Fred began to sink rapidly. It was not until she had been descending to the sea floor for several seconds that she regained her senses enough to kick her feet. But the armor was still very heavy, and she couldn't make enough headway. She was running out of air.

Suddenly, Melody was there in front of her, but she wasn't helping her to the surface. The mermaid held up three fingers, and Fred understood that she was indicating Fred still had her third wish. Fred used the only breath she had left to scream out her wish, which floated upward in air bubbles:

  1. She wished to be a mermaid again.
  2. She wished to be a merman.
  3. She wished to be transported to dry land.
  4. She wished for the ability to breathe underwater.
  5. She wished she'd never caught Melody.
