As I approached the yellow star, I was able to see - or rather my sensors
were - that it had several planets. One of them was emitting the right
amount of infrared radiation to indicate that it would have a suitable
temperature for supporting carbon-based life forms. I set my course for
it, and when I was close enough found that it was a close match to Earth
(that's humanity's original planet, in case you don't know) in terms of
mass, proportion of oxygen in the atmosphere, and having plenty of water
in liquid form. Nor did the atmosphere seem to contain any toxic gasses.
