Detention Block

They stood silently for a moment, looking down the long, narrow hallway at the rows of small, dank cells. Many of them were occupied by kids who looked variously afraid, terminally bored, or pointlessly defiant. One or two of them -- presumably the worst of the troublemakers -- were chained to the cell walls as in a medieval dungeon.

"This is barbaric!" exclaimed the Doctor.

"But, as a metaphor, you have to admit, it's pretty apt," said KR.

"Quiet!" shouted the official who had escorted them. "Talking in Detention is worth another sixteen hours of detention!"

"Are you sure it's not a better idea to just knock this guy out?" whispered Dayanara to the Doctor. "He's really starting to get on my nerves." The Doctor shushed her.

The man swung open one of the cell doors and rather roughly pushed Dayanara in, clanging it shut behind her again. Soon, all of them were behind bars, the Doctor entering his cell with a cheery grin, the Master with a great show of dignity, and the others with confused and worried looks on their faces.

"OK," said TW as soon as the guy had left, craning to see the Doctor from the next cell over. "Let's hear your brilliant plan."

1. "Well, first we escape, of course!" He pulled a sonic screwdriver out of a coat pocket.
2. The Doctor rubbed his hands together gleefully. "Here's where we start inciting our rebellion!"
3. "Of course! And I must say, it is quite brilliant. We... wait!" And with that, he lay down on the floor and proceeded, apparently, to fall asleep.
4. "Er, well, yes, I'm sure I'll come up with one soon..."
5. "Of course! And I must say, it is quite brilliant. We... wait!" And with that, he lay down on the floor and proceeded, apparently, to fall asleep. [non-crappy version]
