Chaos Strikes 2: Electric Boogaloo

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 45631

"NO SLEEPING IN DETENTION!" boomed the same Majel Barret-like voice that had greeted them, and the Doctor felt electricity jolt through the floor, shocking him awake.

"But how can we not sleep!" protested KR. "We're here for at least 20 hours!

"QUESTIONING DETENTION POLICIES IS WORTH ANOTHER 19 HOURS OF DETENTION."

"Oh dear," said the Doctor. "Well then. I suppose I'll just have to sing. 'And did these feet in ancient times...'"

"NO SINGING IN DETENTION."

The Doctor glared resentfully at nowhere in particular and began to hum an extremely annoying song which no one else could place. For about thirty minutes, nothing else happened. The Doctor's companions and archenemy sat and stared, desparately hoping that something would happen soon.

When it happened, no one was prepared for it. It began as a strange tingling feeling of uneasiness, a vague feeling that something was wrong. It grew into heart-pounding fear, to which even the Doctor was not immune. Everyone realized at about the same time that this must be one of those "chaos events," although they didn't know what made the Doctor guess one would arrive. And then...

And then, they opened their eyes and found themselves in the same place they'd been, although in slightly different locations. "Well, that was a little disappointing," said the Doctor. "I was hoping that the chaos events would create a more serious disruption that would give us the distraction we needed to escape. I--wait a minute, what happened to my voice? Why do I sound like an American?" He looked down at his body. Then he looked across the cells and saw himself. "Oh dear."

"KR, are you alright?" said Ragan. "Why are you--wait a minute..." She realized that instead of her relatively practical clothing before she was now wearing the Doctor's outfit. In fact, she was in the Doctor's body. In spite of herself, she did something that in spite of being a Doctor Who companion she never thought she'd do. She screamed.

"NO SCREAMING IN DETENTION! FIVE HOURS HAVE BEEN ADDED TO YOUR PENALTY!" shouted the computer calmly. (Somehow, it managed.)

"Wait, what's going on..." KR looked down at himself. He realized that he was now in Ragan's body. He fainted almost immediately.

"Alright, what's..." said TW tentatively. He looked down at himself and realized who's body he was in. "Um. This is somewhat cool, in a creepy kind of way." He waved his arms around and started performing an exaggerated impression of the Master, whose body he was now inhabiting. "'So we meet again, Doctor, but this time the advantage is mine! Bwahahahahahaha!'"

"It seems the chaos energy has caused us to switch bodies," said Dayanara. "I've experienced phenomena like this before. I'm in TW's body right now. I usually don't enjoy being a man, but I can put up with it for the rest of this mission."

"What are you doing in my body!" shouted the Master, enraged. "I... I... I... No! This can't be happening!" He looked down and saw Dayanara's form. "You! You did this to me, Chen! You will pay for this! I'll wring your neck! Then I'll rip your body to pieces! Then I'll feed the pieces to Aggedors! Then I'll..."

"'I always drezzzz for the occasion!'" overacted the oblivious Time Warrior.

"Quiet! I do not sound like that!"

  1. The Master (in Dayanara's body) tried to wring TW (in the Master's body)'s neck. (Yes, this is going to be a little confusing.)
  2. Someone else was thrown into the detention.
  3. Something compeltely random and plot-devicical happens.
