“It all began ten years ago…”

Ranma looks over Fred carefully. “Eh? There must be some sort of mistake. I’ve never seen you before in my life.”

”That may be,” spat Fred. “But you’ve done more harm to me than anyone could imagine.”

Even the normally unflappable Belboz was intrigued. “This must be some story! Stay a while and tell it to us.”

”Very well,” said Fred. “I will now share my tale of woe before I extract my revenge.” Ranma and Belboz pulled up seats to listen to Fred’s tale.

It all began ten years ago. Back then, I was but a young lad fresh out of Knight School. This was before I was Lord Fred. It was just “Sir Fred” back then.

As is the custom with all rookie knights, I was partnered with a seasoned veteran who was to show me the ropes. My mentor was the legendary Lord Larry, who only had three days until retirement.
