Yikes!

"What's that?" Says Fred.

"I don't know." Says Belboz.

Then, Fred's question is answered. The iron plates on either side of them raise, and two huge, agile, metallic spiders emerge. They are about the size of a horse. Fred tries to blast one with his magic sword, only to have the beam reflected by the spider's shiny exoskeleton. Fred panicks, only to be smacked upside the head by Belboz. Belboz says "You twit, SLICE IT IN HALF WITH YOUR SWORD!"

Fred regains control, then holds his sword up , jumps at the spider, then slices it straight in half, leaving two steaming spider halves in a pool of spider blood(Which is red, by the way.) andone very pissed-off spider. The spider leaps at Fred, who just dodges it, but the spider manages to make a 4-inch cut across a part of Fred's leg that was not protected by armor plating. Fred does not notice this, and immediately executes the same maneuver on the one spider as he did the other, now-dead spider. It is slices in half with a satisfing "SSSHHING!" sound, and the spider's remains are the same as the first one's.

"Oooh!I've been looking for Arachnis Gigantus Type 1 eyes for quite some time!" Says Belboz excitedly.

He immediately plucks the 16 eyes out of their sockets, puts them in a bag, and ties it shut. Fred and he resume their journey, and come to a dead end. There is a lever here with 3 positions, and a button that says "Activate." The lever is not on any position, but it is on a fourth one that says "Neutral." The three positions are inscribed with some sort of strange symbols. Fred and Belboz must choose one.
