You pull the lever and a section of the wall lifts revealing a torch-lit, stone-cobbled path which extends as far as you can see before bending off to the right.
"Hmm, good choice", nods Belboz, "looks like this path may lead us some where important". Belboz is about to move on when a thought grabs you.
"Belboz, how about making ME a mage as well, down here 2 magicians will be better than one after all?" Belboz chuckles at this - "You know long it took me to acquire the knowledge and power to become an Arch Necromancer? Eons, Ye dog! Fooker! Gadzooks! Hah!"
After having a good old chuckle, he then stops to think. "On the other hand, I have some items on me that would make you a temporary wizard, so to speak. Going to cost you though, much more dragon-eyes, treasure and dosh!" You agree (as you have zero intention of keeping this promise) and Belboz delves into his voluminous cloak pockets and brings out a large, hessian bag containing what looks like lots of gems.
"Spell Jewels!" announces Belboz solemnly. Each gem when held and name announced will cast a spell!" He passes the bag to you and you inspect the spell names - you can see so far: **"Wizen & Weakening"** **"Fire Bomb" **"Super-Stink"** **"Ice-Blast"** **"Detritus"** **"Fate of the Undead"** **"Fools Gold"** **"Open-Sesame"** **"Vanish"** **"Bar-Brawl" **"Pick-Pocket"** **"Obey Me"**
"Each gem vanishes once it’s used" states Belboz. "One more thing, it is common to find other magic gems in places like this so do keep your eyes open. Come, let us proceed!"
You & Belboz proceed down the smooth, cobbled path until you reach a heavy iron door at its end.
