Things pretty much had continued on as they had happened in another story thread up until one point (i.e. event and sentences and sentence parts here shadow those found in episodes 42008 & 42027). Understandably, a lot of the players in this drama are now understandably more . . .on edge after having heard the scream of the female dragon. Those who’d BEEN inside the caverns to hear it, anyway. Some had been outside hauling yet another load of loot away from the defunct dragon’s hoard and had missed the experience. Those clueless ones go about their business, unaware. The others go about their business, albeit with more caution and concern. As for the dragoness herself? As soon as she regains consciousness . . .
The Dragoness rematerialized in her laboratory. It had been a wonderful nap which had been most rudely interrupted by . . .something. She still was more than a bit loopy (dazed from painful injuries truth be told) from it and could not clearly recall exactly WHAT had hit her and knocked her temporarily unconscious. As soon as she tended her wounds she was going to redress that, believe me. She did know that someone or someTHING had taken her egg (AGAIN) from her, getting past the barriers of magic’s and the not too inconsiderable fact that said egg was resting near a rather LARGE dragon. Whoever or whatever had stolen her egg had bypassed the traps AND been ballsy enough to do it despite her being nearby (asleep or no). “Must compliment the egg thief right before I rip their throat out,” the dragoness whispers to herself. Now to find out if her redesigned servant was...
The dragoness looks blearily over at one spot and blinks, suddenly recalling that in the mess of it all she HAD been “cooking up” a new Elaira over there. AND SHE IS GONE!! The Dragoness would have, in another time and place, roared in fury over this. As it was she can only softly moan and grind her teeth. She was too bloody SORE to do any roaring right now, damnitall. Still, she did have to wonder what could have happened. Could someone have taken her? No, there was only one set of footprints in the dust. What could have happened? She had awakened before the spell was complete. That could only mean one thing - a one-in-a-million coincidence had placed a soul within Leonora's body that had remarkable magic resistance. The Dragoness' anger was fast replaced by a glowing pride in her own handiwork. Such a servant would be irreplaceable! Now she only had to be found... AFTER she has her slavish troll servants gather up various healing draughts and potions. Some of her injuries (burn injuries!!) needed immediate medical attention. It couldn‘t wait much longer or she would have to pay Hell for it . . .literally.
Slipping into a more manageable form, she laid back and let her slavish trolls attend her. It was SO nice to find that not ALL of her servants were treacherous, unlike a certain witch she’d gone out to replace... Meanwhile, Velus and Eritrea continued on their way into the Caves. "So..." Velus said. "Any idea on how we're going to kill a Dragon? I mean, those things are about fifty times bigger than we are!" "Everything has a weakness." Eritrea said. "We just have to find it. Besides, you remember that howl? Something or somebody did the beast a bad turn so I say it‘s vulnerable right now!" "Right." Velus said. "We can do it. All of Allaria is depending on us!" Go Back |
