On Dragon Minds and Elfin Babes . . .

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 46496

Aeryn Pip

"Well, maybe . . .," our newest sister mutters. "But frell having to serve an entire cycle . . .er . . . year for an answer!"

Hm, kinda glad to be talking about something else now than certain surprising . . . things about Chi here. Yeah, I'd heard all sorts of dren about this TV counterpart of mine from that frellin' Farscape series!

. . .

I liked Crichton . . .my Crichton.

I'l miss him now that he's gone. Always . . .

. . .

But to think that someone out there would have made a show based upon Crichton's point of view as he bumbled through the Uncharted Territories (and named it after his primitive spaceship) is a bit to swallow.

Uh, sorry. Got sidetracked there.

Well, anyway, I had put down to . . . . well . . . From what I've seen in the Uncharted there are males out there with over active glands. Meaning that they are thinking with their mivonks even MORE than usual for males. That can to my advantage (especially acting up the part to feed that stuff). Makes them easier to frell over in the end when I need to snurch something.

Doesn't mean that I actually am that way. Yeah, I do what I want with who I want, but . . .

Well, I guess that Chi here had been closest to my TV version in that respect than me and Chiana. Or at least until she'd opted to become a dragoness, which doesn't have it in their nature (dragons) and . ..

URGH, why am I going over this dren!!?

Not like I'm a sexual prude, damnit. It's . . .

Something's kinda upset me here and I don't know what . . . Ever since that time where Nomad had kicked the dris out of that one PK Command Carrier I've been on edge.

. . .

Wait, just figured it out. Simple really. I do what I want with who I want and that's kinda what's the issue. There was that one brain dead nixta named Susie who lived that, but . . . She'd been brainfrelled into it and . . .

Well, just goes to show that . . .

Oh, drop it Pip! You're wasting time here!

And of time . . .

We DO have better things to do with our time than play house servant to some old man (or men considering that . . . oh, I'll get to that dren in a microt here)!

Besides the usual, I mean . . .

This new stuff, the magic, is so drad! While Chiana's exercising her demons by watching Earth TV shows. Hope it helps her get to understand "Season 4" Crichton. I want to try to learn more magic stuff.

Hey what are you staring at? I do other things besides having fun with men all the time, you know . . .

Chi

"Yeah," I sigh. "Maybe sometime I can learn how to fly, breath fire and all that dragon dren stuff while we're in Xanth."

Chiana and Aeryn Pip do a double take at that one.

"Wait," Pip says. "I thought you said that when you'd become a dragon you'd automatically had that knowledge!"

"I did!" Chiana protests. "What gives?"

. . .

"You mean that my memories are even more felled up I thought they were?!" I blink.

Later, over outside at Giluriel's place . . .

Chiana

"Uh Sigin," I begin. "I just found out about Chia and I need. . .Hey!"

"Oooh!" Aeryn Pip coos softly. "So . . . cute!"

"You guys move quickly!" I manage, glancing over at the proud parents. "I thought you'd said that it would take two years after . . . you know!"

The little bundle with in E'eysha's arms wiggles a little bit and yawns.

She's the cutest thing I've ever seen!! Sigin had said that elfin babies are perhaps the most delightfully pretty things out there in the world. Almost "terminally cute" as he put it. Had said that it was actually a magical defense that lasts until late childhood, protecting the little ones against . . . almost even the most heartless of predators. I have to say that . . .

"Wow," I coo, enchanted.

"It's the cutest narl I've ever seen!" Chi says softly, also enthralled.

E'eysha

"Her name is Azure," I say softly, bouncing my daughter a little bit, causing her to giggle. "While she and Quirlos are our children and while our . . .efforts at a Night of Joining worked, the Rules and Agents gave them to us to adopt."

Of course, with the way Celestrials do business when they hand out children like this that means that they've arranged for both Azure and Quirlos here to have as much of my and Gilmuriel's blood as the little child I have in my womb.

. . .

Pardon if I seem to be a dotting mother, but I am. Besides, I'm an elfin woman (of Terra Prime) now. Live with it.

. . .

Still, I'm beginning to see why my fellow elves usually keep their children away from non-elves. It's for protection for one. Another reason is that if we didn't we'd have trainloads of non-elves following our kids around, mesmerized by their "cuteness".

The Doctor and Inquirer proved to be able to overcome it easily enough (being who they are) and my old teacher in magery, Sigin, is adept enough in shielding his mind to throw off the effects. Can't say the same for my other visitors here.

They're following me and Gilmuriel around like lemmings!

So with a little gesture, I and my husband cover up the faces of our little ones, breaking the spell and causing the girls in gray and our resident experts in Whovian matters blink, snapping out of it.

"What the frell just happened?" Betty blinks, looking around blankly.

Yeah, next time we either leave the kids behind or we have our visitors put up some kind of mental barriers.

. . .

Hm, just another thought. When old friends do visit I and Gilmuriel have to work to make sure that the first words our little ones' first word isn't frell!

That's been said too often now and now that it's no longer just a joking matter!

Sigin gives his head a slight sake no.

"You were saying something about Chi?" I ask, turning towards Chiana after deciding to sidestep bringing up an embarrassing and silly incident. Dragons are prideful beings and it figures that her mate would attempt to not have Chiana embarrassed.

Gilmuriel

"Oh, something wrong?" I ask, coming back into the room after having put to bed our new children.

We'd been discussing various things before now.

How with the Tolkeinian elves having all turned into Terra Prime elves that it meant that the prophecy of elves vanishing off the face of Middle Earth, being replaced by humans had sort of come to pass. Human beings did outnumber elves and their ways would have soon eclipsed elfin kind, what with the passing of the One Ring (long story, read the book). Well, in a way it would still come to pass. Every last Tolkenian elf had been transformed (by the look of things), leaving not one left to walk Middle Earth. By now it's looking from evidence the Doctor has gathered while time travelling we now know that Terra Prime elves hail from human stock (or at least have a bit of it mixed in the bloodlines) because of Atlantis.

We then were going to discuss those new proto-Dark Elves and how one couple had come upon a little silver haired elfin girl child (named Dreamwalker) in the same manner as we'd gotten our newest set (i.e. adopted them after getting them from Rules and Agents). That had led to us proudly showing off our little tykes and . . .

That incident with everyone staring . . .

Well, we'd been warned but in a moment of pride we'd overlooked . . .

Ah nevermind!!

  1. "Chi's got a problem . . . "
