Some things on Xanth reveals more than I care to know!

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 46337

B'Elanna

"You heard right," I explain. "It's basically a magical land of puns...."

Now there is a lot more to this place we're going to here. A lot more than I really feel like telling our girls in gray here, but for what it had been, for the detail obsessed try here: www.hipiers.com.. Nowadays, it's still basically that (land of magical puns) but with an explosive return of magic to the place they called Mundania (place we now call Rifts Earth) the inhabitants of Xanth found them cut off. For the non-humans of that little world that wasn't an immediate problem, not when compared to what the human race would face if some contact with the outside wasn't re-established (re: 13249).

Now, because of the fact that the one (and ONLY) contact with the outside was Terra Prime, the nation of Aqualaria in particular.

. . .

At least they had been able to move the entry point OUT of Queen Astra's bathroom . . .

"But above all things keep these few things in mind about this place we'll be taking a small holiday in," I warn.

Chi

Besides that only guido would want to live there? I share with my sisters (getting small, stifled giggles from them).

I mean, after all, who in their right MINDS would want to live there?! Give enough time without some kind of influx of "new blood" there would be no more humans, just magical people who don't want to have anything to do with humans? Maybe not openly, but at some level . . . Hey, I'm not human (and had only met a human when I'd met that Crichton and those "replicants" back on Moya). Never have been human but let me tell you something! If I was human I'd not LIKE to be . . . Well, I wouldn't like to be "dissed" like that!

I don't want any narls. Hate narls. I'M still a narl, myself! However, I don't want any of my kids acting like that with me, thank YOU!

I'm not the only one who feels that way, considering the dwindling influx of humans that are willing to actually emigrate to Xanth?

What's the point? Go because it's a land of magic? Gee, what's Terra Prime? What are these other Earths here in this reality that got dropped here? In this solar system? Fifty "light years" away? Five hundred away?! Those have magic all OVER, without the added annoyances. Oh, you're children will have some kind of magic ability, but most are just small dren! Those who DO go there to Xanth seem to go there to become something else (meaning to become something else than human). It seems magra fahrbot, but that's what I hear!

"It's to do with the reason why the Doctor and Inquirer are going there," the elf woman continues. "They don't want one right NOW, but eventually . . . "

She explains and I and the others . . . .

"You're frelling with me, right?" Chiana says blankly.

Aeryn Pip

"In Xanth the 'hybrid' races like centaurs and mermaids came from unions between a human being and some other species," B'Elanna explains. "There's few to no species that a coupling won't have a chance to produce offspring. They even have a term for such products of unions like that: crossbreed."

. . .

Uh, okay. So be careful when I have "fun" because unlike in the Uncharted any non-Nebari could produce a narl? Well, that wasn't the only way I avoided . . . little ones, but species incompati . . . That's why I didn't . . .

"But why the frell would anyone want to . . . have fun with just animals?" Chiana sputters.

. . .

Uh, I can think of a few reasons but . . . then again not everyone's like me?

. . . .

Hey! Did I just miss something or something? I could almost swear that by what Chiana just asked means that she's not as . . . adventurous in having "fun" as me?

. . .

Nah!

Chiana

"Those kind of unions usually happen by Love Springs," B'Elanna says, looking slightly uncomfortable. "Some magical water out there heals wounds. Might cause wounds. Might youthen the drinker. In this case Love springs cause the drinker to want to mate with the . . . next creature of the opposite sex."

Oh. Oh frell!

"Guess that's one way to get to understand the old saying 'Don't drink the water!'" I say softly, shuddering slightly in . . . . disgust.

Having fun is one thing. To be forced (and with animals)? . . .

B'Elanna

Our girls in gray notice each other's reactions on this subject and next thing I know they're talking in a chatter of half completed sentences and words. Oh, they know what they're saying being analogs, but outsides like me can't follow it!

That and sounds of surprise and . . . other things.

. . .

Uh, at least not totally. Given what the subject matter was before AND when the term omni-sexual comes up (something that Betty and Chiana talked about earlier . . . quiet funny) I have a feeling I know what they're talking about.

Well, just an "fyi" but I do believe I've just gotten a glimpse as certain . . . tastes some here have in sex that I didn't want to know. Oh, not a prude or anything like that, but it's personal stuff that . . . they didn't really mean to share. . .

"Oh, gotta go tune the TARDIS control column," I mutter. "Catch you later."

I'll let you work this out for yourself, I send as I hurry along. Issues and all that you have . .

Oh, can see that they have issues. They seem surprised with each other over such a subject: sex. They've been doing it for so long but . . .

Well, you get the idea!

Chiana

After the elf has left, I continue on with our discussion. I'm still getting to know these people. How best to profit off them (or maybe not . . . way my sisters tell it I'd not get hurt . . . would be safe with them so can trust them) . . . Well, at least she'd left us alone to sort this out!

Of all things! Having fun?! Over a little something about being omni- sexual?

What's their problem?!

. . .

"Well, I do actually prefer to have males over females if I can but I'm not above a little . . ." I say, looking at the others who are now looking at me . . . shocked. "Yeah, I happen to have had 'fun' with a cute female I like and . . .and . . ."

. . .

Wha-what? Why do I suddenly not feel anything when I remember having fun with . . .

No, I do have feelings. Disgust?!

"Oh," Chiana nods, seeing the confused look I must be showing. "I think I see . . ."

Aeryn Pip

"Fine, care to fill me in, sis?" I blink.

I had thought about having fun with females but . . . in the end had decided to just stick with males and . . .

I . . . guess that . . . in some things we were bound to differ! We've talked (privately) on certain things most wouldn't talk about. But we're analogs so it'd been okay! We're analogs! Of course, we all hated the Establishment and any governments set on hemming us in like that! Okay. We had differences on religion. On religion, we sure as hez differ! I mean after all I know already that Chi's "agnostic". I'm "atheistic". Chiana's believes in a religion called "Christianity". Why we all believe what we believe isn't open for discussion with you folks, but still, that's just something that goes to show my sisters aren't just clones, you see!

But . . . to differ on having fun? I-I hadn't thought that I . . . she . .

Oh, frell it!

Chiana

"She's a dragon now," I say softly. "Whatever might be possible about certain . . . decisions with Nebari aren't doable as dragons."

Dragons are . . . put together a bit differently than Nebari in c- certain things. Got to live with that (not that I mind, really).

"Oh . . . right," Chi blinks "N-now I remember. The Rules and Agents had said something like . . . like that. That or some . . . choices being easier."

Like me actually marrying Sigin. . . .

Wonder if she knows about how raslic and other things like that won't agree with her now? Don't even try to get me to drink that dren, now! Flying and being dragon is much more . . .

Well, we'll see. Gotta warn her before she regrets it in the morning. Hangovers as a dragoness aren't anything I'd wish on even the Establishment. . .

. . .

Weellll, maybe I would . . . Did I ever tell you how much I hate the Frellin' Establishment?

. . .

"It'll come back to you in time," Aeryn Pip puts in, seeing the look that Chi has. She's upset.

"I don't want, want to wait to relearn what I should know right off," Chi mutters. "Why do I have to? You didn't when you became a dragon!"

Well, my case is different from her's! You've got to expect stuff like that, you know.

"Say, didn't Inquirer say something about a Good Magician with all the answers?" Chi. "Maybe after all those Farscape DVDs you wanted to see, we can go see him?"

Hey, there are things we'd been planning to do during the week the Doctor's honeymoon was going to take, you know?

  1. "Well, maybe . . ."
