Chiana "Will you be QUIET!" I whisper sharply at Leon. "We wanted to make a little contact on this island as possible. Frell!" "Already too late," I mutter, smelling and hearing with my heightened senses only a few seconds (Hey! Drad! I used the Terran time unit instead of "microt"!!) before the others. The sound of leathery wings flapping to brake a reptillian body as it comes in for a landing. This dragoness (named Moreau I find out later) gives me an odd look, as if expecting . . . someone or something else, but her attention is drawn quickly towards Elrondir. That is because . . . Frell, you'd have to hear some of the insults the guy can toss around sometimes. Says it is from his time in the Military. Says that there are even more "salty" types out there than what I've seen so far . . . Says that he's usually better behaved (and he IS!), but there are times when he can draw on experience.. Anyway, it is more than enough to get Moreau's attention, which is what he says he wanted. It doubly effective, he tells me, the taunts, because NORMALLY an elf doesn't say stuff like that. Go figure. But anyway . . . See, one of the reasons why we wanted to minimize our contact with the natives on this island in particular is that it's kinda . . . a bomb waiting to blow up in our faces in a way. The little guy (along with the others) draw either weapons (high techy) or magical spells forth . . . and for some fahrbot reason Moreau takes us lightly! US! Well, we give warning and she laughs. Zhora says something REALLY cutting, and gets teleported out of here for her troubles (something for a friend of her's named Minestus to play with). Elrondir isn't too taken at the dragon lady's behavior. Kinda cranked so throws a spell or two at the still chuckling dragoness. What those spells would have done remains an open question, but what little of the effects they'd had didn't smell . . . nice. But it's Leon... When Zhora gets zapped... THAT sets Leon off into a rage! See, you gotta remember that he's a Replicant and Replicants don't have a LOT of frellin' time to get used to controlling their emotions. Those develope later on in their short lives and . . . well, you get the idea. It is sorta the same way he (or his movie counterpart) reacted when Decker gunned down his girlfriend Zhora (or should I say the movie ver . . . ah frell it). He shoots, aiming at what his soldier training (and logic) would say are the most vulnerable spots his beam weapon can hit. Makes a bloody mess of the surprised dragoness' throat, ending the screams of pain and shock in a gurgling death when one wild beam severes her spinal chord!! See, dragons are smart and sly (count myself in that catagory), but if they're faced with something that they don't know is dangerous and doesn't register as dangerous (like our rather arrogant but dead Moreau did), then what is there for it? Ends up with the last thing Moreau sees and hears is Leon screaming in her face, demanding to know where Zhora got sent! Hey, I'll let Elrondir explain. He's good for that and Leon kind of wants to hear this as well... Elrondir Looking around quickly, I can see that we've drawn EVERY eye (excluding any Foresaken, tell 'bout those sorts later here in a minute) to this fracas... Shit.
