So, our Champions are landing in the Docking Bay..... Chiana I’ve landed the Pod in the nearest ship and now wait. I had not much time, given the damage done to this piece of dren, but I’d managed. Do hope that we’ll be able to scavenge the parts we’ll need in order to get the thing flying again or at least find a replacement Pod in here ( as for the later optoin, but besides the one before us....I’m not holding my breath)! So right now I’m kicking back my heels and waiting because there’s nothing else I can do, really. I’m in a "holding pattern" as Inquirer put it one time, and I hate to wait. Oh well. Beats getting chased by a PK Death Squad.... I’m still sitting in the pilot chair, looking out at the bay at some red haired nixa who’s dressed in some kind of skimpy leather outfit. She is a bit far from where we’ve landed, but I can tell several things right off. First, she seems frozen in place and unaware of our arrival. Being that the brief scans we got off in between the exclamation the Doctor gave off with two frellin’ wormholes opening up and spitting out the Leviathans and the rush rush business of trying to save the lives of those who’s heads got bashed on the bulkheads from the wake of those wormholes opening and closing.... Seems that time within the Living Ships halted. Just a hunch from hints that C.M. told me, but I think they’ll unfreeze just as soon as we step out onto the deck. Second, maybe Ragan and Betty can’t see it (with them only having eyesight within the human norm) I can tell that there is a LOT of fear etched all over her face! Then again, they’ve just come back from the huddle in the back around Belinda and Hannah and were looking at me instead of outside. Do believe they’re going to tell me how their patients are doing. Being that I was the only one who could fly this Transport Pod, I got stuck up front! Away from the action, as it were. Okay, now I'm sure that our "host" was kind enough to provide a substitute for the TARDIS' translation ability. Nice, considering that I still have a way to go learning English enough to be comfortable with it. Barely able to make myself understood, really.... Shoulda made the effort to learn more of Crichton's tongue back on Moya than I did... .... But still!! "You have GOT to be frellin' kidding me!" I mutter, looking at the thing I've pulled out of my ear before sighing and pushing it back in. "Who ever heard of 'Babble Fish' anyway? I mean, how the Hezmana is this supposed to work?!" Elrondir Having finished up with the injured (seeing that I can’t really play much more of a part in it), I "Ah yes," I drawl out as I come forward a bit to see how Chiana and the others are doing. "And while you’re asking why don’t you ask the heavens how your plasma based weapon has a stun setting, why translator microbes are have that ‘hit or miss’ tendency with certain words, why translator microbes cannot seem to translate ancient dialects, how translator microbes which are organic (even if artificial in origin) able translate worlds being directed over electronic devices (which are NOT organic in nature)? And then there is that business of that one Eartlike planet Crichton told us about that Betty summarized in being from that episode I, E.T. which . . ." Those had been but a few pet peeves I’d had over what I’d seen from this Farscape stuff. Bloody, I’d not believed it if I hadn’t seen it but now that I’d SEEN it I wanted to know just HOW it worked! Betcha that a lot of Mil tech types wanted to know that as well. Especially the part about the stun setting Chiana has on her Pulse rifle! You won’t beleive just how much flack those in the Military get from the Federation types over our weapons NOT having a stun setting! I mean, come on now! They’re plasma based weaons and you just don’t HAVE that option...or so I’d thought! Anyway, the joke had been that agrieved Military types had said "Yeah, we have a stun setting!" and made like clubbing an invisible target. THAT had been all the stun setting we ever had been able to come up with there.... Whatever. And just like all the other times I’d been able to ask the question, something just HAS to come up to interrupt! At least THIS time Chiana hadn’t put me off with a line she’d gotten from the Doctor. You know the one. The line which is "I’ll explain later." Anyway, Betty's decided to get back on track and tell Chiana what she'd come forward to tell her. Kind of nice being out from back there. Been crowded, really, despite this Pod having been designed for cargo.... The two centaurs kind of take up a lot of space.... "Well, we decided it would be safest to just change those two girls into blocks and carry them around," Betty says, still looking at Chiana than outside. "From what we can see, it would be too draining on Sigin for him to be useful, magic wise, when actually get around to getting OUT of this Pod...."
