Pixilated!

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 39494

Crossroad Man

Meanwhile, inside one Leviathan which wears a Collar, a very confused blue skinned being is waking up to....

Screaming!

"Help me!" one gray skinned woman is yelling to her twin....

Now, that blue skinned being is still disoriented from finding herself here (which she believes is just another section of the place from where she blacked out in. It isn't, but she'll find out that later.

This blue being is not Zhaan. That Delvian priestess has mystical abilities, yes. However, Zhaan cannot cast lightning spells. The bolt hits the male creep that had one of the Chianas in his grasp and was going to sip that Nebari's brain through some kind of . . . well, a sippy straw (as Crichton would put it). Now, if I hadn't changed this bit of the Interface (the temporary realm which springs into existence when Game 3 non-reality touches what you linear temporal types call reality) then things might have been....messy. The caster wasn't thinking clearly, else she would have cast a different spell! See, it would have electrocuted not only the male, but the Chiana in his grasp as well (by accident).

It just isn't the blue being's day. As it is, the effects of the spell I twist into something a little less terminal and a bit more benign in it's side effects for the gray girl within this creep's grasp! It knocks the creep named Kaarvok just gets knocked for a loop and he finds himself elsewhere on the ship (his bedroom chamber, for the records). Why? Well, I'm under contract here. Can't have these Champions have TOO easy of job, eh? These Key components they're looking for are on this Leviathan and the other one that got caught up here.

As for the Chianas, I . . . kind of erased one little thing that prevents a clone from having a doppleganger effect (ala Terra Prime). They stare at each other, and begin to giggle as a warm feeling blooms within each of their hearts (instead of fear).

Fear that another thing besides the obvious also happened here besides the doppleganger effect. Fear that the blue being's spell got them pixilated!

Fitting, considering that the blue being in question IS a pixie. Time freezes inside this ship as well as the OTHER Leviathan, to unfreeze once the Champions get aboard.

I'll give 'em their TARDIS back as soon as this Quest business (this particular one) of theirs is over, win or lose.

Losing, of course, would mean that either the Key component gets away from them or the person with it within them dies...

....

Hello. I call myself.... Well, easiest name for right now for your business here is just to call me Crossroads Man. I am one of those Authors you may have heard of before now. If not, then consider me something akin to Q from Star Trek: TNG, except a bit more powerful (and I'd like to think a bit more polite and less elitist).

....

Alright, let's get down to it, okay.

The name of the six inch tall pixie used to be Astra (back when she'd been human). The name that some kind of Song of Welcome (given off by what's left of the Living Ship) gave her is now Elvaraniel.

Note: the description of the pixie comes from episode 39250 by Bill L.

Originally, the pixie had been a human Amazon warrior princess named Astra. Yeah, the red haired woman who, like so many you may have heard of, who’d fallen for that one knight, Fred! She’d changed from that human into a faerie lass that.... Well, from head to toe, Astra (or the being formerly known as Astra) was now blue. Her skin was powder blue. Her hair was the dark blue of a deep ocean. The whites and pupils of her eyes had seemingly merged, turning the clear blue of an open sky. And sprouting from her back were a pair of bluish, translucent gossamer wings.

You know, blue!

.....

Hm, reminds me. After this is all over I still had that meet with that intelligent shade of blue! They’re rather huffy if you leave them waiting...

Nevermind. Talk about trivial pursuit, really. Sorry, won’t do that again....

Yeah, well, with the transformation she soon realized that her transformation into a faerie had not just been physical, but mental as well. And the blue faeries were renowned for being one of the most magically powerful - and one of the most pacifistic - of the faeriefolk.

Had known that she would end up as she was now, she'd probably would have taken a different course of action!

Uh, read the recap here to understand why I now call her a pixie instead of a winged faerie (re: 39380). Tells what happened and why she did what she did. Let me tell ya, she did much better than that particular Fred would have done (don’t get me started on Vellus)....

So with time slowing down the last part of the transformation happens which symbolizes the final sealing of the change upon the one who used to be Astra. Her ears grow long and pointed, like that one elfin chick from that anime: Records of The Lodoss War ( http:// www. dragonsart.com /gallery/ Lodoss. jpg ).

....

Yeah, well I know that with all this business with the Key components being stuck within she shouldn’t have those ears, technically. Well, Game 3 isn’t exactly known to follow rules all the time, eh?

....

Oh boy, I just saw something that I should have foreseen. Seems that when I induced a doppleganger effect thing with the Chianas, something akin happened as a side effect on her as well. That or that Song of Welcome or whatever had shown her a glimpse of Triakoth (a Fred analog who’d been changed into a male pixie who’s genetically compatible).

...

Go figure. Being that this pixie woman would have had a doppleganger reaction to an Astra analog from Terra Prime (if the gang had brought one along in this Quest), it stands to reason that such a union (Fred/Astra) would have happened. Similar personalities looking for similar things in life partners.....eventually. Just with . . . the Fey folk it happens a lot quicker.

At least that’s what I think all those little hearts mean as this love sick looking pixie lass is looking at that magical image of Triakoth....

Looks like the pixie will be asking King Oberon a boon after all this Key business is over with....

....

Hey, she's a creature from a fairy tale! Whadda expect?!

Well, enough chattering from me. Last time I’ll be talking.

But some background music (ala some from that video game called Resident Evil should do for this particular part of the Quest, which mimics the Farscape episode “Eat Me”).

  1. So, our Champions are landing in the Docking Bay.....
