The Doctor "Frell me!" Chiana swears, looking over wide eyed at the panting (and wild eyed) Sigin. "Is that a promise, love?" Sigin smiles, still a bit wild eyed, but calming down. "What the Hell?" the runner, a female Redshirt Security Guard whispers, still not sure just exactly this fancily dressed madman had just done. "And what is that . . . . sniff . . . . . snort . . . . smell?" Surprises are the norm in the life I'd chosen for myself. The thrill of adventure, amongst other things, was why I had left Galifrey in a rackety TARDIS, after all. The surprises I experienced when I came upon Terra Prime had been really odd, shall we say, but while some had NOT been pleasant (like the death of my old TARDIS, my she rest in peace) by and large they'd been most agreeable. Companions which did not have to be rescued again and again (and ask endless questions) had been quiet agreeable. Then there had been Inquirer, who had pursued me.... Inquirer probably one of the best surprise, really, but I digress. The point here is that I really should not be surprised, really, when yet another thing comes out and shocks me, but... The last surprise had been to find out those odd words that Betty and Ragan had been in the habit of muttering from time to time (especially after watching yet another Farscape DVD) suddenly starting to translate into something with meaning when we'd visited the Farscape universe. Had been somewhat unsettling to find that despite the initial setup for translation, the Farscapian terms had remained as they were vice instantly being changed into English as far as our ears were concerned, but I should have expected it. Reason for that was akin to why, except for when Americans are involved, every speaker within the range of the TARDIS usually gets gifted with an English accent. Seems that the TARDIS seem to have taken a shine to those of England (remember, the TARDIS is like a person) and thus (except for a few notable exceptions) we hear everyone with English accents. Seems that with both Betty and Ragan, those terms had left an impression of some type so instead of hearing the English terms for words like "frell" and "dren".... We know what they mean, but when Chiana (or Betty or Ragan) say those Farscapian terms they stay in their original form! Rather is charming after a fashion... That's amusing. What's happening now is not amusing. With that and a few other equine noises, we gape in shock as the Oriental woman (a female "Redshirt") morphs and changes into yet another centaur. She's a bit different in detail to Frieda. Yes, Caucasian is her humanoid form (with shockingly flame red hair and mane), but this new centauress is much larger. Freida's equine lower half is a regular riding horse, but this new centauress before us (like the blonde centauress and the black haired centaur) are shire. Draft horses. Other details would be they are rather muscular (upper and lower halves) and have equine ears showing through their long hair, but their large sizes are what stands out. Sigin has to freeze her in place as she's rather loud and insistent in her whining demands to the still spell frozen male Centaur. Rubbing and all that. .... I will just say that she's. . . . in season by the looks of it and doesn't care that she has an audience. "Ah christ," Hannah Fredrics groans. "It happened again?! What's going on here?" "I had thought it was Centaur Lycanthropy," Belinda mutters, looking worried. Centaur lycanthropy? Is there really such a thing? "Despite what that voice had said I'd thought it was that but . . . unless the woman got bit by .....," Belinda mutters, shaking her head. "No....she had no signs before the change. Was too out of it still to notice if I was wrong with the others, but...." "Uh....by any chance were they the owners of these torn clothes over here belong to those centaurs we saw you with when we came in?" Betty asks, holding up the remains of a green Star Fleet tunic (the wrap around kind that Kirk had been known to known to sport) and the remains of a red female Star Fleet uniform. Belinda nods, after calming down the rather nervous Hannah and taking the clothing we offer them. We then blink when they describe what the blonde and black haired centaurs looked like, before this. Two things are certain. First, wherever these two young women (who smell STRONGLY of horses in their sweating) are, they're not familiar with Star Trek: TOS (else they'd recognize who they were describing). Second, we know that we have Kirk and Uhura right HERE, in the forms of these centaurs. I also have to look over at Betty and Ragan when they look at each other in surprise when Belinda (who'd been called Belboz) mentions the term "Centaur Flu" in recalling the voice she'd heard right before the change. "Wasn't that that one magical curse back at Addventure where Scott and Debbie got changed into centaurs?" Betty asks her sister. "Yeah, done initially by that one strange Author who'd later joined up with Lots42 in creating all those strange Voyager episodes!" Ragan agrees. "God, how I hate Janeway and Star Trek: Voyager....." "Uh, what can you tell me about this Centaur Flu?" Belinda asks softly, interrupting. "And what's the best way to snap this Kirk, the commander of this 'starship', out of the haze he's in?"
