A Limited Choice of Occupations

"Yep. Don't you recognise Caemlyn, capital of Allaria?"

"Er no, I'm a stranger in these parts. So where do you think I might be able to get a job?"

"You could try the castle. They might be taking on maidservants."

"I'm not sure that I fancy that."

"Well there aren't too many options for a young woman, unless she's a seamstress or a weaver or a skilled cook."

"I'm not any of those."

"You might be able to get a job as a barmaid. You're pretty enough."

Sarah decides this isn't the time or the place to take him up on his casual sexism, which she suspects may be normal here - wherever "here" is. The man goes on: "Of course there's always the oldest profession."

"Definitely not!"

Meanwhile the wagon is approaching a gate in the wall, which is guarded by men-at-arms.

1. The wagon is allowed through.
2. The men decide, because of Sarah's nudity, that she is an "undesirable". She is forced to dismount before the wagon is allowed to enter, leaving her outside the wall. Can she find a way inside?
3. "Better hide in the wagon, just in case the guards don't like the look of you, " the driver tells her.
