The gatekeeper at least remembers me from my last visit here, so lets us inside the castle grounds. "Sir Don and Lady Sara, along with the children, are due back here in about two week's time. If you left now, you could make it to Castle Freydair in five days, perhaps four if you pushed your horses. If you wish to remain here to wait, I can ask the Marquess, though I can't imagine him having any great objection. After all, it is owed to you that his daughter and son were saved."

"It was owed to me that they got into trouble in the first place." I mutter under my breath. The guard dosen't hear me, however.

"Please, come inside at least for a few hours. You can have some food, a bath, and rest. I'll see to it the maidservants get you something clean, and a bit more covering to wear."

We follow as the guard leads us inside.

  1. We decide to wait the two weeks for Don and Sara to return. At least here we're safe and comfortable, and it will give me more time to think over my situation.
  2. We decide to rest the night, then head for Castle Freydair in the morning. Most of all, I want to see my children as soon as possible.
  3. After I've bathed and had something to eat, the guard comes to my room "The Marquess would like to meet you."
