Freight Elevator?

You are walking along the wall of the assembly floor when your leg gives way. Fortunately your other leg is still good, and your right palm forces itself against the wall, so your are braced and you do not fall. After you steady yourself, you slowly advance by taking a short hop on your left leg, and using your right arm and the wall to keep your balance, before taking another hop. You take a quick glance toward the middle of the assembly floor, but none of the androids seems to notice you.

After an agonzingly long time, you come to the shiny jamb of a door. There are two large metal doors of what appears to be an elevator. You see a pair of buttons. One looks like this: (^) and the other looks like this: (v). Definitely an elevator. You would be happy if you could just get off the floor and gain a minute's peace.

1. You press the button that looks like the "up" button.
2. You press the button that looks like the "down" button.
