Private Party

"After what happened earlier tonight, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with this. He may feel it's okay to take even more liberties with me if we're at his home. And I won't have you or Katia or any of the other patrons around to help me if he does try anything. Not that it seems any of you would help me, as scared as you all are of him."

"That's kind of harsh." he replies, seemingly annoyed.

"The truth often is."

"Harry, please. I'll pay you double wages the rest of the week. Also, you'll really make out well with tips from the private party. Just, whatever you do, don't dissapoint Gustav. For your own sake, as well as ours."

"Ok, ok, I'll do it." I concede. I don't like his cryptic warnings though. Just what is this man capable of? One possible benefit of this might be that there will be more uninhibited conversation at the private residence than even there was at the club. After my shift ends, Marco walks me halfway, and I return to the inn. I have the next day's afternoon shift, then the private party the following day. I wake up at the inn in the morning.

1. The day is uneventful. After work, I prepare to go the the private party the next day
2. I decide to stop by the law ministry to see if Cornelius can give me any useful info on Gustav
3. I get cold feet and decide to back out, despite the warnings I've been given.
