Katia

"Sorry I'm late." she says in a rush, breezing into the changing room, and out again a minute later in an outfit identical to my own. Marco gives her a bit of a lecture on the importance of being on time, especailly with the other barmaid out this week. Katia apologizes again.

"It's a good thing Harry here was able to stay late." Marco comments.

Katia blinks, confused about who Marco is talking about. He gestures in my direction. "Oh, are you the new girl? It's nice to meet you!" she says, holding out her hand in welcome. I take it and return her smile.

"Well then, it's ok to go home now if you like, Harry. Then again, it's a bit busier than it normally is this time of the week, and since we usually have two girls on the evening shift, you're welcome to stay and earn some extra tips if you'd like." While I am feeling a bit tired, I decide to stay on for the rest of the shift. Marco thanks me and heads off on his errands. After a quick break, I go back to waiting tables.

As I am serving a group of men one of them puts his hand through the slit in my skirt and fondles my thigh. My first inclination is to turn on the offender and give him a piece of my mind. From across the room, though, Katia sees this unfold and quickly intersperses herself between me and the offending patron.

1. She proceeds to give the man a (well-deserved, in my opinion) tounge-lashing for his inappropriate behavior, and threatens to revoke his membership if he acts up again. A few minutes later, the man leaves the club looking angry and embarressed.
2. She turns to me and says "These guys will take liberties sometimes, and we just have to put up with it. If you try to stop them, they'll complain to Marco and you'll get fired."
3. She turns to me and says "It's best not to make trouble for that man. He's a very powerful individual in this city."
