It seems that some customers are more equal than others when it comes to misbehaviour. Marco didn't mention that. It seems that if the man could make trouble for me, or for the club, I have little choice but to put up with his groping. I only hope that the presence of other customers will restrain him from going too far. If things were to get too bad, and I didn't get any backing from the club, then I suppose I would be forced to hand in my notice, but I hope that it won't come to that.

As Katia whispers to me, the man and his companions look on. "Telling the new girl how things work around here, Katia?" the man asks. He seems amused rather than cross.

"That's right, sir," Katia replies. "This is Harry. She started today."

"Pleased to make your acquaintance, Harry...

  1. "Thanks for the drinks. Here's your tip." He holds out his hand with a couple of silver coins in it.
  2. "Why don't you join us and tell me all about yourself? I always like to find out a little about new barmaids. I'm sure that Katia can cope on her own for a while." He indicates an empty chair.
  3. "Come and sit in my lap."
  4. "Haven't I seen you before somewhere?"
