The City Streets

The Black Void - Episode 2517

The shops and buildings in this section of the city are unfamiliar. At least it's not too crowded. I try to stay in the shadows of the buildings, to avoid notice. Dressed as I am, I'd likely garner a good amount of unwanted attention if the wrong person or group of people find me, to say nothing of Maris or the bounty hunters.

I stop to rest for a minute in a small alleyway between two larger buildings, to consider my predicament. I need to steer clear of Maris and his men, assuming they finish those bounty hunters off. Teran is alive, but injured, and has a price on his head. Unlike me, he is not disguised, so any other bounty hunters who know of him may go after him.

Don is, to my knowledge, alive, but trapped as a slave in some mine north of the city. I have no money left to purchase his freedom, and I'm certainly not about to accept Yunis "non-cash" proposal [2494], even if I could find him again at any rate. I don't even have a few coppers to secure a room at an inn. I'm lost and alone, it's only a matter of time before I'm found here.

  1. There is a royal guardsman standing on the corner. I decide to ask for his help, or at least directions.
  2. There is some kind of temple across the street. Perhaps I can find help or shelter there.
  3. I decide to chance it, and guess which direction I should go. By luck, I soon find myself in a part of the city I recognize again.
  4. Someone notices me...
