I recognise some of the men with Maris from the raid on Zal's inn. [2109] He probably had positioned them nearby before he entered the inn after me, to have intercepted us so quickly. He must have anticipated that he might need them.

Outnumbered six to two, I assume that the bounty hunters will hand me over. But they are evidently made of sterner stuff than that, and draw their swords.

Once everyone is involved in the fight, I take the chance to run for it. I suspect that it won't be long before the bounty hunters are overwhelmed, so I have no time to lose.

  1. I manage to get away, but I'm in an area of the city that I don't know, penniless and scantily dressed.
  2. But one of Maris's men spots me, disengages from the fight and comes after me.
  3. I run slap into a guard, coming to investigate what all the commotion is about. (You can't really have a swordfight quietly.).
