I describe the items. When I have finished, Hendrik looks surprised by their value. He says: "Those would fetch a very great deal. He must have decided that it would be enough to make it worth leaving the village and settling somewhere else. Initially he would head for to the nearest large town, I suspect. That's about twenty miles from here. There he would be able to find a jeweller who would buy the items from him, with no questions asked."

When we return and report back to Lord Richard (and to Beran, who is now awake):

1. Lord Richard wants to pursue Cecil.
2. Lord Richard reluctantly decides that chasing after Cecil would take too long, and with no assurance of finding him. The search for Don must take priority.
3. I find that there has been an unexpected development.
