An Unexpected Development

"Lord Richard! Are you alright?!" his loyal coachman cries, quickly rushing to his lord's side. He lies on the ground with a glazed look in his eyes.

"That blow to the head must've done more damage than we thought." Teran says, stating the obvious. Hendrik stoops down to observe him. "Concussion, most likely. He should be fine with a week or two of rest."

Teran and Hendrik gently load Richard into the wagon, and we take the ride back to Castle De Freydair. When we arrive, Richard is conscious again, but still dazed and dizzy. The coachman helps him to his bedchamber, and he summons me soon afterwards.

"Lord Richard, I fear this is all my fault. You were injured on my account. I'm sorry to have caused you such trouble."

"Nonsense, Lady Harriet." he replies, sitting up in bed. He smiles, but his voice is weak. "It's up to you now. I cannot travel in my condition. Please, find my son and bring him home."

"I will do my best." I reply, praying that it will be enough.

1. Teran and I set out again for Artazia
2. As Teran and I prepare to set out, Hendrik volunteers to come along as well.
3. A messanger arrives at the castle gates
