Long Line of Slaves-to-be

"What is going on here?" I ask.

"You belong in the left passage," repeats the man.

"Why?"

"Around here, you do as you are told, understand? And you keep your mouth shut! Now head down the left passage or else." He indicates that horrible weapon.

Since I don't want to get shot, I obey the man and head down the passage to the left. The man escorts me until we see a long line of people waiting. "Get in line and quietly wait your turn." says the man as he turns around and heads back the way he came.

"What's going on?" whispers the lady directly in front of me. She is wearing a blue and yellow striped dress. She also has a matching blue and yellow striped purse.

"I wish I knew." I whisper back.

Suddenly a female voice screams: "Who do you think I am? I am not a slave and I will not work as a slave!"

A barely audible male voice says: "Hush your mouth! All women will work as slaves. Those who refuse will be punished!"

"Let's get out of here!" whispers another woman quite loudly. I quickly agree with her. So does everyone else. The line breaks up as several would-be slaves run in all directions. I decide to head down the way I came from.

A loudspeaker crackles: "Everyone get back in line and wait your turn! Or you will be shot!"

The man who escorted me returns, with his horrible weapon aimed at the ladies. Oh dear, what shall I do?

1. Attack the man and snatch his machine gun.
2. Run down the hallway to the rest room at the risk of being shot.
3. Crawl into the narrow passage that can be seen on the left.
4. Be a good girl, remain calm and get back into line.
