Wait a minute, Joan thought. If a woman falling in love with a woman is acceptable in Aqualarian society, why is it that Astra had me turned into a teenage girl? That wouln't have decreased the chance of her falling in love with me. In fact, if the Aqualarians are as virulently anti-male as I think they are, it could have even increased the chances! What's going on here? Is all this an illusion, or is there a factor I don't know about?
