Fred Gets Metaphysical

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 9862

Although half of what he was saying he was making up as he went along, and the other half was recycled from a vaguely remembered chronomancy text from his one year in wizardry school as a young boy, Fred managed to successfully explain how, if he was convicted, he would never meet Astra ("which I would very much like to do," he admitted, blushing) and therefore she could never know him and therefore never defend him in this trial, causing an irreconcilable paradox and threatening the very fabric of space-time, or at least the fabric of story-continuity.

"Hmm. I hadn't thought of that," Judge Lots42 said.

  1. "Okay, no trial then. You go to jail!"
  2. "Okay, go meet Astra."
  3. "Screw it! We're having a trial anyway!"
