Yes, Fred decided, it was his fate to rid the queen of her brutish husband and win her for himself. Being found in her bedroom would not serve his purpose for now so he quietly slipped out the door and into the hallway beyond where he found himself with another decision to make.

There was a door opposite the queens and judging from the snores coming from inside he assumed it was the kings bedroom. Since one cannot marry a woman already wed, it was obvious the king had to go and given that he was already inside the castle, undetected by anyone else, this might be his best opportunity.

Of course he would still need to find a way out and he was not convinced he would be able to do so while still remaining undetected. So now might not be the best time to make his move. Also, Fred recalled some vows he took as a knight which might conflict with any sort of assassination, so it might be better for him to descend the stairs to his left and look for a way out.

1. Enter the king's bedroom.
2. Descend the stairs.
