Meanwhile, Rei and friends tie up loose ends…

Meanwhile

It is the time between Quests, a lull time which allows somewhat weary Champions to finally be able to at least try to do something about the issues they had pushed aside for "later". Being that "now" is pretty much a good time for that which had been deemed non-Quest critical had finally been dealt with (by way of handing the problems off to various other members of Rei’s extended family), there still were a few people who were in need of . . .information. One could go so far as being in need of recapping and updating, even!

That is, right after all parties introduce are introduced first!

Just in case you are wondering, that Terra Prime cliché means something along the same lines as "better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick". Came about from the time we had that one encounter with Gordon Freeman’s world, back when Sister Rei came and freed me from "my" Commander Ikari’s grasp and derailing his and SEELE’s plans for Instrumentality in the process.

Nice man: Gordon Freeman, not much of a sparkling conversationalist but a truly intelligent and good man all in all! Yes, too bad that the man died awhile ago sometime after I and my sisters went awol in that spaceship. You should expect that however when you've been given a lifespan longer than . . .anything, galaxies and main sequence stars! We learned about that sad fact while catching up on things with the family earlier there, along with a somewhat unwanted video call from the G-Man (yuck) wishing us well for finally returning.

. . .

Now why that shady character should have lasted so long and not Freeman is understandable and all that: the G-man’s from a people with a longer lifespan and all that. Still, it hardly seems fair…

Oh well, that is the lot of being a Champion. Sooner or later all your non-Champion friends . . .shuffle off their mortal coils and such. Just ask Uncle Roland that . . .

Another shame.

Sigh.

"I go firrsst then?" Braveheart asks, looking around and seeing no objections (besides a rather bemused look that Betty Ragan gives him), and then nods.

Braveheart is brave and kind, but somewhat limited still here but figured that since (according to what he can understand of "alphabetical order"), he probably should take the lead here!
