A female angel in all her holy glory stands amongst us; a female angel with red hair and the air of a warrior Amazon.

Ah yes, at a guess seems that that one Astra analog who'd been first a genie and then transformed into one of the angelic hosts has finally made the scene. Jaws drop in mute amazement and all that, even from the Scoobies (who'd already been exposed to Buffy when she'd temporarily dropped her mortal charade a bit earlier here).

"Really, did you have to use the C word with everyone?" I mutter to myself. "I'd been hoping to avoid even chancing having to explain about that business."

Really, I had! I mean right now the Scoobies and the other non- Champions thought that we were just some kind of do- gooder adventurer group that had been inspired by our version of the Doctor....

"Like Star Trek with Apollo . . .right," I hear Betty muttering to herself, blinking. "Yeah, this is just like some . . .alien race that gave rise to the angel myth in religion."

. . .

Whatever. Might be true might not be true. I believe what I'll believe and she'll believe what she'll believe and leave it alone.

Not worth it to me to get into a heated argument over things of that nature.

And then I find my own jaw dropping when Astra the angel reveals . . .

"What do you mean there was a backup Rei Ayanami scenario the Commander had back in my old reality?" Yukido blinks, staring at image of a somewhat befuddled pale aqua haired (and winged) young woman with hauntingly familiar features.
