Carola's Watch
The Never Ending Quest - Episode 9169

As Jarlath, Matthias, and Belinda went to sleep, Carola stood at the edge of
the campfire and began her watch. She sighed. Her life lately seemed to
have been an endless sequence of marching through forests and camping out at
inconvenient places. But at least she was free now, free of the clutches of
Minestus the Dragon. And for the first time in her life, she was going on
her own quest and having her own adventure! She was no longer sitting
around doing nothing. Her older sister, Astra, had gone on many quests in
her day, before the forces of Minestus had kidnapped them from Aqularia;
while Belinda and Carola had just sat around in the palace. But now, they
were actually having adventures. However arduous and difficult it was, at
least it wasn't boring. And she enjoyed working with Matthias, too. The young warrior was kind, handsome, and dashing. But unfortuneately, he didn't show the slightest interest in her. He wasn't even interested in Belinda. Not like the other one, Jarlath, who had an obvious interest in her and her sister. She was grateful to him for rescuing her from Minestus's men, but she didn't reciprocate his interest, although she didn't mind it. She turned her concentration back to her watch. As the night wore on, Carola grew more and more apprehensive. There seemed to be some dark force hanging over the place. Suddenly, she heard the sounds of fighting in the distance!
