Springboard

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 8974

The Doctor blinks and then slowly shakes his head, still stunned at the import of this small, strange equation.

Sigin (back in human form) and the elves come back into the TARDIS (having been able to get the Time Lord to keep the doors open for a bit longer for a little look about). Sigin himself is grinning from ear to ear, looking more of a boy than a being who was around 2,000 years old.

"Oh, I see Inquirer told you about that small theorem that Dr. Vincent recently came upon." The dragon mage says happily, exchanging a moon rock with a small book from his satchel. "This goes into further detail, I think.

Can't read that writing, there. Galifriean or some such? Well, whatever, this has the whole of Dr. Vincent's little beast there. Good reading!"

"It's Greek to me," Betty sighs, not being able to follow the main equation, much less the footnotes that Dr. Who wrote in High Gallifrey.

"It's not like any Greek I've ever seen," E'eysha says solemnly, eyeing the blackboard. She spoke and wrote Greek, and this wasn't Greek!

The Doctor blinks, looks at the others and then back at Dr. Who.

"If I show this to the Supreme Council....." the Doctor whispers in awe.

"Regained regenerations and perhaps a reversal in that unfortunate trial about us....you interfering with the outside universe," Dr. Who says happily. "Your name......"

All the other Betties (sans Ragan) suddenly look shocked at that!

Stacy just looks at them and the Doctors as if to ask just what the bleeping heck that was supposed to mean.

"I hate to interrupt but I think there was something about a time limit here?" Elrondir says, suddenly remembering something.

The Doctors nod and suddenly get back to business. Dr. Who wishes them a fond farewell, gives a few ideas on how to stabilize the instability back in the Doctor's universe (if the removal of the Master's TARDIS hadn't done that already). The Master is awakened with a kiss by Inquirer, and then the evil Time Lord croaks out in horror as he suddenly finds himself staring out at the world from a small jar after yet another session of alien sounding words.

Amazing what one can do when a man is scared stiff and won't move to disrupt a simple curse spell!

"Just kiss him when you get all said and done," Inquirer says with an impish grin and a toss of her head back at the frog in the jar. "I don't think our evil villain will be hopping off anywhere....unless he likes the idea of eating flies for the rest of his life!"

The frog makes what looks like a frantic negative motion with it's head (as best he can with the way his body is at the moment).

Dr. Who calls from inside his TARDIS for her to hurry and for his brother to look into Stacy's loss of memory.....

The Doctor just looks at Inquirer strangely (as do the others of his group), and then sighs and watches as she climbs into the other TARDIS. Dr. Who's TARDIS grinds out of existence. Plots are laid out and plans are made to make a few peoples days. The Doctor's TARDIS grinds out of existence.....leaving the moon behind with the crumbling ruins of the Master's TARDIS (a few pieces of material left over from the "sling shooting" of the Doctor's TARDIS home. That, and a dozen elf sized shoe prints and the claw prints of one dragon mage who'd fallen in love with the idea of wandering around.

  1. That done, the adventurers make plans on what to do exactly about the VLA.....
