Into the Void

"Well," said the Doctor, "I'd suggest going outside and taking a look around."

Dark-haired Betty shouted "Wait a minute! You said there wasn't even a single gas molecule outside! We can't go out, we'll be..." But her panic-edged voice trailed off as the TARDIS doors opened... and absolutely nothing horrible happened. "Come on!" said the Doctor and strode confidently out, as if there were nothing the least bit strange going on here. Stacy and the Bettys exchanged puzzled glances. Finally, red-headed Betty shrugged her shoulders and led the way out the door, the other two following. Stacy turned in the doorway and frowed at the Master. "Come on, you too. Don't think we're going to leave you alone here!" With a disconcertingly pleasant smile, he joined them.

1. They all followed the Doctor, who was walking purpousfully throught nothingness a little way ahead.
2. They looked around. The Doctor was nowhere to be seen.
