"So it would appear," the Master reluctantly conceded. "Can we get back to our own universe?" brunette Betty asked. The Master shrugged. "If we can, I'm afraid I don't know how," he admitted. "This is outside my experience. And if this has ever happened to any TARDIS before, no-one has ever returned to tell the tale."

Whilst the Master had been talking, the Doctor had been sunk deep in thought. Now he spoke.

  1. "I can only see one chance," he said.
  2. But he only got as far as "I...", before another space-time ripple appeared [8462], much larger than the one that had seized Melissa, and enveloped all of them.
  3. "I'm afraid we're stuck here. Let's hope there's more to this universe than the white void that we can see outside."
