Fred takes a back seat

Reluctantly Susan knows that having two conflicting people in one head is a recipe for madness and decides that life will be simpler if Fred sleeps till he can come back. It is a very hard decision, but once made one that she puts into action.

Susan takes the antidote from Charlie and places it carefully in a pocket in her dress, She then takes the memory potion and drinks it down in one gulp. Immediately it reaches her stomach she begins to feel a bit queasy and very tired. Charlie helps her to her bed and she falls into a deep sleep.

It is two days later before Susan comes round from the potion induced rest and she feels very much better, although she is not quite sure why she does. Her spirit is raised still further when Charlie turns up and brings her a tray with breakfast on it. That boy is such a joy to have around.

After her thoroughly delightful meal Susan gets up and, after completting a few household chores decides to . . .
