To forget Fred is a most frightening option

The very idea that she should forget all about her life as Fred is a frightening one for that is all the memories of who she really is. Yet she does know that by doing this she would find her current existence much easier to accept. Her concern is made greater by the fact that Charlie's record is not exactly brilliant when it comes to getting things right. Wht if he made her permanently forget who she used to be?

Charlie could see Susan's concern and tried to calm her worries by explaining that the potion he used was fairly simple, and that he would give her the bottle containing the antidote now so that she was in control.

Susan's mind was in turmoil as she tried to decide her best path. Eventually she decided . . .

1. that she would forget Fred and try to get on with her life till Charlie had the solution
2. reject the idea of forgetting Fred.
3. not risk that just yet
