The Never Ending Quest - Episode 8456

After ten minutes or so, Melissa came back with a tray containing a sugar bowl and six cups and saucers made from high quality porcelain. "I hope you don't mind," she said, but I've put the tea in the cups rather than bring the teapot and milk jug. I hope you all take milk." The Master scowled and said: "You should have known better than to send an American to make the tea, Doctor."

Melissa handed out the cups and they sipped their tea as they waited for something to happen.

  1. The Master slumped forward, asleep or unconscious. Melissa clapped her hands in delight. "It worked," she said.
  2. Eventually the firing stopped.
  3. The Master put down his cup with a bang. "My patience is exhausted," he said.
