The Doctor came over and clapped Melissa on the shoulder. "Good girl!" he said. Melissa positively beamed. "What did you put in it?" asked Stacy. Melissa held up a small, empty white packet labelled "Sleeping Powder." She looked at the Doctor nervously for a moment. "Uh, that is right, isn't it? I just wanted to knock him out... I didn't kill him or anything, did I?"

The Doctor took the packet, sniffed it, then bent over the unconscious Master for a moment. "No, no," he said. "You did fine. He'll be out for hours."

"Great!" said one of the Bettys. "What now?"

The Doctor rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

  1. "Well, to begin with, I suppose we should probably tie him up."
  2. "Something's obviously gone wrong with this timeline..." he began.
  3. "Well, I think I'd quite like to talk to those Cybermen, for starters."
  4. Suddenly, the firing stopped.
