Moon Princesses and Mono-poles

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 84283

So that is why I am here. Amanda is one of the last Champions available I know of who I was able to track down and I feel will help me and my husband...

Amanda sighs slightly and puts down the probe she'd been using to patch up the damage done to the gift she'd recieved years ago, back on her tenth birthday from that one odd elf from Rifts Earth: Rugen Wordeni.

Who in their right mind would give a Veritech Fighter to a young girl as a birthday present?! Apparently, that particular person would. Fitting gift, actually, a combat plane that transforms into a big robot fighter. After all, it was Amanda's old calling before getting adopted into her new family: robot piloting....

Remember, this woman had been slated to pilot EVA Unit 00. Created to do it (amongst other things).

She just opted on "going with it" after getting that most unusual (but welcome) gift. God only knows how USEFUL it had been during that chaotic battle earlier!

Anyway...

Amanada Deschaine(formerly known as Rei I)

"What could I help with, Princess Serenity?" I ask politely. Might as well be polite, being that I actually don't have issues with this young woman.

The monopole I’d been working on adjusting here can wait for this. Beastly things, those. Hope the hubby can scare up replacement parts around this place so I can just toss them out and be done with them!

. . .

Well, yeah anyway about the Princess here.

Originally the Moon Princess here (who'd been known as "Sailor Pluto" originally before her current reincarnation) had been older than any human civilizations (over ten thousand years old, not counting for attenuation due to ducking out into that time hole where her Time Gate lay). Many say in rumors floating around she wishes to be called by her first name of her old identity: "Setsuna". However, I am NOT going to just up and assume to take liberties with names when it comes to royalty.

ESPECIALLY the royalty of an alien kingdom where they have actual magic girls in miniskirts able to mow down hoards of life energy sucking monstrosities know as yomas!

Some of them make actual, feral Terra Prime vampires look nice and wholesome...

Besides...it takes a LOT of guts to actually fight monsters in those getups! Whoever designed those outfits must have been either male perverts OR some hard core lesbians!

No no, that's not fair at all. Social and cultural mores being different all over the multiverse doesn't mean what is racy in one world is the same in THIS one.

Hear that tongues are REALLY wagging over the scandal of ME and a LOT of the other female types of Eternity Incorporated wearing pants instead of dresses...

Hm, never mind. Not really important here and now that business. Just another little thing that goes under "culture shock" and all that. Ruffling feathers with the locals, whether intended or not.

Sigh. And for some reason I thought that things would go better here. Then again, I guess that false expectation from having been read Sailor Moon growing up as a child. It was just so much more bright and cheery than the world I and my cousins (Rei, Reika, and Lilith) haled originally from

Creator only knows just why Gainax ever made such a depressing robo anime which reflected my original reality...

Ah, but Sailor Moon! Rather liked that show and . . .whatever you may say about certain deeply tanned sailor senshi (cough cough, Sailor Pluto), at least she was one of the brighter ones of the lot.

I felt that Setsuna would have made a MUCH better Moon Princess that that crybaby who took the Sailor Moon/Moon Princess slot in the anime and manga... Pluto (aka Setsuna) had always been something of a favorite of mine as far as magic girls go.

Well, nice to see that it happened in THIS world despite how it happened...That Setsuna here is the Moon Princess/Sailor Moon instead of certain other girls around here I could name!

Too bad I have to no to her request to be a Chaperon for her Validation Quest. Have prior obligations back on Terra Prime I must get back to ASAP, alas.

“But I do know of someone who’s going to be Chaperoned when he gets his bride-to-be here well within the deadlines for your Quest to begin.” I say, trying to cheer Setsuna up a bit.

Nice that she's actually given me leave here to call her by that name, really. Maybe I can help her still, though.

  1. “Rei and the sisters I believe I could maybe talk them into it if you feel not like approaching them directly . . .or speak with Fred Takahashi beforehand.” I continue.
