The Thing In The Water

And something was splashing around!

And it barked!

"Velus!" Astra said happily. Velus barked again.
"Velus?" said Ardua.
"An ally." said Astra and proceeded to question the dog with the yes/no/bark-bark system Fred had invented.

Astra and thus Ardua soon learned that Lord Fred had seen gray colored things drag the two away. They had followed for an hour, fought a maddened three-headed elf, seen the future, ate the apple of fear and battled a gender-bending plant, just to reach the cell they were in. (Okay, they learned the details later from Fred, but the gist of it was the two had an incredibly difficult time finding the ladies). Anywho, there was a mechanically-opened ventilation port that Velus had crawled in. He didn't want to bring the keys in case the two weren't really there but now since everyone knows what is going on, he was going to go back out, bring the keys Fred had in. The door was on the celing.

Soon, Lord Fred helps the dripping, naked ladies and Velus out of a water-filled pit. The room they are in now is small, circular made of stone and has slimy mold everywhere. There is a door half-hanging out of it's hinges on one end. A few boxes are piled up to one side. A rat sits on one and glares at them.

What happens now?

1. The four companions leave through the ruined door.
2. Ardua notices something in the boxes.
3. A tentacle reaches out of the water and yanks Fred in.
4. The room begans to spin rapidly.
