Choosing a final fate....

When events ran there course up to the point where that civil war (led by one evil duchess who called herself Beryl and a vampire like entity named Metallia) the . . .er . . .the fecal matter was introduced to the induction blade. Even more so that what was seen in the anime or manga versions of “Sailor Moon”.

It started to REALLY go south when instead of saying the normal powerup phrases to change from her normal Princess Serenity/Setsuna form to Sailor Moon form.

As did the other shards of herself in the other timelines and this caused all SORTS of Hell to break loose!

It forced together all her wayward shards back into herself, along with all that neato/powerful gear and items you may recall each character had throughout those series.

Well, as you may have guessed Setsuna got all the powers of ALL of the Sailor Scouts in one fell swoop (a very formidable opponent she now was). But the problem here is the effect of all that power (as well as all those different lives) getting slapped all together into one body and mind without preparation of any kind beforehand to soften the blow.

Setsuna went quiet insane from it all and with the now almost godlike power

Goodness knows just how Setsuna/Sailor Moon got a hold of that copy of the Millennium Crystal thingie her mother, Queen Serenity, had...

But that‘s was just one of MANY things brought to the table.

To this freakin‘ mess.

It also caused (again!) her time/space based magical powers to go wacko and draw all her compatriots (and quiet a few enemies) into this mess. Several others from various worlds/realities were drawn in as well...

As well as the Champions (all of ‘em) from Terra Prime (sort of an ad hoc Quest the Rules and Agents assigned them, after the fact).

Why? Why the Quest? Why were the Rules and Agents worried about Setsuna? Well, if left unchecked and not brought back to her senses (or neutralized) that magic girl was going to eventually wreck a large part of a galaxy (or three) before the Celestrials would be allowed to step in and handle things. The Rule and Agents would rather not let it get that far so . . .the Champions were tapped. What with them having been sucked into the situation already.

There were other consequences. Consequences of Setsuna’s rampaging powers that Rei and her sisters shall help here with soon.

One has to wonder just why (and for God’s sake HOW) she managed to by her lonesome pull in that one Earth (Solar system and all) into this universe, though. Well, one of her personas DID (cough cough Hino) did like Buffy...

Remember, amongst other things Setsuna had access to manipulate/control time (and space). With this ascension, she had no longer the limitations she’d had before as she had “merely” being Sailor Pluto.

She no longer would/could kill herself if she abused her powers. Definitely was no longer rational enough to know when to lay off in her efforts to now directly control things to bring about Crystal Tokyo. HER version of it. Her dream of it.

EVEN if it wasn’t needed since because of the little fact that the Silver Millenium hadn’t fallen yet (and probably wouldn’t after Setsuna went off and cleaned every villain’s clock good and proper before magically cleansing them of their evilness that you probably could easily say that their frontal lobes squeaked!!

Harbinger of things to come IF Setsuna/Sailor Moon wasn’t put enough in check here. Her loyal subjects of Crystal Tokyo would (through her well meant but insane efforts) become mindless, meek sheep. Unwilling and unable to do a drip of evil or malicious intent.

A very twisted version of the Justice and Love Sailor Moon indeed...

Anyway, it took a desperate effort of all to get her reigned in (a bit of fisticuffs from none other Diane Walker with her going a bit Forge avatar) and knock some sense into her to let her mind be healed (and her run away powers back under control).

. . .

Control? More like most of it locked DOWN permanently. They did NOT need Setsuna running amok again, EVER.

It was a given that Setsuna was going to be stripped of all of her OTHER Sailor Scout powers . . .and stand ins to replace Setsuna in those other realities. Setsuna could only be kept in ONE reality from here on out.

Rules and Agents say so . . .or else! Non-negotiable. Everything else . . .(especially the OFFER they’d made) was.

Setsuna was going to be home based out of whatever reality she chose. Her decision as to which “Sailor Scout” position she’d take would determine just where she’d be plunked down, btw.

That said, there is a LOT of things to still work out here (like getting the other Sailor Scouts from different realities back home). Contacts made with various sister realities and all that.

Wherever she ended up, Setsuna knew that things like the future (as what she’d scryed whilst Sailor Pluto) would never be the same again.

“Not that I am sure . . .Crystal Tokyo is exactly something to look forward to,” Setsuna muttered to herself, shivering in disgust at the perversion of her dreams she could have brought out here. “Not if it meant . . .”

LOTS of things to sort out but at least some good things. Some food for thought.

And maybe not so good. She has to sort out her feelings and thoughts about what she’d almost done. About things she wouldn’t have been able to take back, even with almost divine power at her fingertips...

“Miss Setsuna, I do thank you for that glimpse of my wayward daughters,” Mina says softly, interrupting Setsuna’s musings. “I believe you may have questions for me, however?”

Due to whatever reason, both Setsuna and Mina had hit it off together. And indeed that was one of the reasons why Mina had been allowed in here, this place between normal space/time. Besides as a favor to check UP on her wayward adopted daughters, natch.

She also wanted to talk to Mina, a Champion, about that rather ODD offer the Rules and Agents made to her. Setsuna had said she had wanted to “think it over” and get back to them on that and to do that she wanted Mina’s input here!

“What IS a Champion?” Setsuna finally asks. “Please, you being one I was hoping to find out.”

Being if she did accept she would be “home based” out of the “her” Earth (wherever that would eventually become) and not Terra Prime (a galaxy away for gods sake)! With little to nothing about Rules and Agents (much less Champions) that her Savants in the Moon Kingdom here . . .
