Coat Madness
The Never Ending Quest - Episode 81385

When Astra returns, wearing a stolen coat, the other future versions of
themselves are gone. Just as a tall, thin man is confronting her over his
date's coat, several dozen police officers burst in and beging arresting
seemingly random people. Or not so random, Astra notes the few other naked patrons (and oddly, one naked waiter) are taken down first. Astra, wearing a thick coat, is ignored. But still...a naked woman with a cast on one arm is screaming as a cop grabs both wrists strongly. Astra flashes out both fists and the cop drops to the ground, stunned and moaning. There is no time to pick his weapons as all the other cops turn to the duo. Astra grabs the other girl by her (hopefully) uninjured arm and they run. Purely because the princess has trained for years in the fighting arts, they make it outside and into one of the Mall's self-guided transports. The shaken girl elbows a button as they speed off. The wheeled cart takes a left turn down a shadowy, rocky (Astra hadn't learned cement yet) corridor. "Shhh." said the girl through a split lip. "This is the emergency button for women attacked in the mall." Astra shook her head. "Mindy..." she said, nodding at the 'Get well, Mindy' phrase she had seen on the girl's cast... "The mall's authorities JUST attacked you." "No...no. This is the Aphrodite League of Females. Totally indpendent." Several more minutes past as the cart trundles down the shadowy corridor. Astra cocks her head. "If you pressed the emergency button, why are we not going faster?" "I don't know! I'm freaking out here. I think both my wrists are sprained." "Oh god, I'm so sorry." "Don't be. You saved me from a squad of angry violent men. I can't thank you enough." "Please tell me if you are injured in the future." "Again...freaking out. Plus I'm still mainlining adrenaline." "Should we run?" asked Astra. "Too many things have gone weird. All women know to ride the carts to Aphrodite. I'm sticking with what I know as long as I can." The cart makes a sharp right turn past a pink sign that says 'No Men Allowed'.
