need me for the project they are very limited in what further sanctions
they could impose.
And if Wu is genuine, this has to be my best chance of getting out of
here. So
she told Wu she was in.
Wu looked pleased that Stacy had agreed. "I thought this was the safest place to talk to you," she said. "The bedrooms are bugged. And of course turning off or removing the bugs would at once alert them that something was up. But I'm fairly sure that this room is clear. Microelectronics is my specialty, after all. I must go now, or Hooker will start to wonder where I've got to, but I'll meet you here again at 9pm to discuss a plan of escape. OK?" "OK," said Stacy. "See you at nine, then." And with that, Wu left. Stacy went back to her room, and spent the rest of the day - apart from breaks for lunch and dinner - reading her notes. Promptly at 9pm, she went back to the library.
