"Well, I suppose that was to be expected if you took the treatment at the
same time as
me," Stacy told Debbie as they drove back to Donald's home. "Of course,
for all I know you may have taken it at a different
time, although we lost our memory within a few days of each other. We
aren't out of
the woods yet, but there's a chance that the effect on eyesight can't be
read across from rats
to humans."
When they got back, she asked Donald: "Do you know when Debbie started the treatment?" "Not exactly, but it can't be very different from the date on the newspaper clipping. Talking of the clipping, why don't you track down the reporter on the New York Times who interviewed you for the story? There's probably far more in his notes than made it into the paper." Doh! Why didn't I think of that? thought Stacy.
