Lord Frederigo D'Honaire was perplexed. He was usually good at riddles, enigmas and the like, but this one escaped him. For the life of him, he could not understand it. However, he knew he had to. One does not shrug off the advice of bone-runes so lightly.

No doubt he would need an expert sage, mayhap even one of the fey riddlemasters of the Murky Wood to figure this one out.

Snapping to the fore of his attention, though, was a more pressing concern.

He had to orient himself, determine his position before he could go anywhere with certainty...

  1. The coral just off the shore told him he was in the western coast of Aquilaria.
  2. The coniferous trees on the ridge to the north told him he was in the domain of Lord Croix of Croix Keep.
  3. He had not the time to orient himself. A rustling came through the nearby forest. It sounded as if it were something large...
