Stacy felt her heart thumping wildly with excitement! All this searching
for clues, and here she'd apparently stumbled over one by sheer
coincidence! She tried to remain calm, though, as she talked to the man.
"That's quite a coincidence," she said. "You know, I... Well, I worked as
a researcher on that kind of a treatment." It wasn't a lie, Stacy
reflected, even if it wasn't the whole truth. "I wonder... I wonder if I
might talk to you and your sister? I think perhaps me might be able to
help each other." After a moment, the man responded:
