Stacy felt relieved by this news, even though she wasn't totally
reassured. She made a mental note to make another appointment in a few
weeks (sooner, if she noticed any problems) in order to determine whether
her eyesight was deteriorating. While she waited in line to pay her bill for the doctor's services (it would, she reflected, be nice to know whether she had insurance), Stacy pondered what to do next. Reluctantly, she concluded that she was extremely unlikely to make any further progress on researcing her condition today. She decided that, while she was in the city, she should do a little shopping. If she was going to be staying in New Mexico, it might be a good idea to pick up some more clothes, and a few other personal items. After paying her bill, she called up a taxi and asked to be taken to the nearest shopping mall. She'd finished buying clothes and was browsing around a bookstore when a man came up to her and tapped her on the shoulder.
